Kevin Jung-Hoo Park (filmmaker) and I have exchanged footage from our personal archive and edited a version of the narrative with one's subjective interpretation of the archive material. It was an experiment to create a sense of equivalence between us, who have experienced a similar rupture in our personal history's timeline. Through our friendship and on-going relationship, we have learned that our experiences of being uprooted and transplanted to another culture and society have deeply impacted how we navigate our past, present, and future. As a pair of artists, it was an attempt to see through each other's visions and create paralleled realities by making a movie out of the memories that one never have lived through but can empathize with.
